About who needs care: 87 years old, significant aphasia and early dementia, physically relatively fit (walks several miles a day with a companion), can take care of hygiene and dressing more or less on her own but needs oversight. She has 7 day a week caregivers from 9-5 but after a fall we are concerned about her being alone overnight and are looking for someone to stay with her to make sure that she gets to bed alright at night and out of bed in the morning. Also to be there in case she gets up in the night and needs help. About the care needs: Because of the aphasia she has trouble expressing herself so we need someone who is patient and able to work with her to understand what she is trying to say. She is a former English professor and writer so her difficulty with language is very frustrating for her. Other than that no specialized treatment is required at this time.
