About who needs care: My mother has Alzheimer's. She is fairly mobile and gets ready by herself in the mornings. I manage her medications, meals, and finances. I'm looking for a friend for my mom - someone who is willing to come over for an hour or two, share a cup of coffee, chat, maybe run to the store on occasion. I want to avoid giving my mom the impression that this person is a caregiver, and instead to project a friendship relationship. About the care needs: My mother is Christian. She does not drink or smoke. She is very sweet - precious and a little ditzy, some might say. She does not have hobbies and does not like it when I try to get her to take part in some activity like reading, board games, or coloring. She likes to chat, and she misses having company. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
