My mother is looking for a companion to help her during the day while I work. She loves puzzles, games and crafts; enjoys cooking, gardening and field trips. Mom just moved here from Tennessee and doesn't know the area, but would love to have someone with energy and patience to keep her company and drive her to restaurants, museums, gardens, movies --or anything else you might suggest. She moves slowly, so letting her take your arm or push a shopping cart is advised. She's also not keen on keeping her blood sugar in check, so medication reminders and a positive and encouraging attitude about food is very helpful! Mom is currently able to shower on her own and dress herself, but as she ages she may need more personal care. We're hoping to find someone who will be with her long enough to get to that point.
