Looking for care for my elderly parents. My mom is 82 and has Alzheimer's. My dad is 84 and has some physical issues. They both live in my home. Mom needs total care. The 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. shift usually begins by getting her out of bed and up for dinner. The caregiver preps dinner for both of them, takes mom to the bathroom, and gets them ready for bed. Light, end-of-day housekeeping items would include cleaning up after dinner and taking their garbage out after they are in bed.
