My 80-year-old mother has limited vision due to macular degeneration and is no longer able to drive. She lives with her 53-year-old son, J, who was recently hospitalized. He has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a rare form of blood cancer). They are going to be discharging J from the hospital on Monday, 5/20/24. J is going to need help with his care at home and with transportation (to his chemo treatments and medical appointments). We would like to find a caregiver who has a flexible schedule to take him to take appointments and provide assistance as needed. We are unsure about how much care he is going to need at this time. Most of his care will be scheduled around his chemo and medical appointments. My mother is fairly independent and does not need assistance.
