About who needs care: Short term care for my father who just had open heart surgery. He cannot push, pull or lift anything for 6 weeks and cannot drive until approved by Dr. He was the sole caregiver for my mom prior to a recent heart attack and she is using a walker after recent knee replacement surgery. She can care for herself but not him and she doesn't drive. She is not very mobile and has no strength to help him get up and down. My dad is diabetic type 2. About the care needs: Someone who has a lot of patience and doesn't mind my moms chattiness. They need reminders to take their medications and some help with food choices/prep. They have an 11-year-old chihuahua named Rosie who is sweet, friendly and overweight. They can manage caring for her. They have a fenced in yard and can just open the door and let her in and out. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
