About who needs care: My father has Alzheimers disease. He is very kind and sweet and physically capable for the most part. He has pretty severe cognitive impairment including short and long-term memory loss, confusion to people, places, and time. He goes to a senior center for some of the days of the week, but we need extra support on the weekends when they are closed. About the care needs: Someone who is kind and patient and has experience working with someone with Alzheimers and dementia. He needs someone who can drive him places and is able to be a companion, as well as help his partner with some housekeeping work since she has been his full time care giver and could use some assistance and support. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
