Hands-on Care Needed In Hamden. We are looking for a caregiver to support a 75-year-old woman who's living with dementia in living as independently as possible in her own home. The ideal person is patient, compassionate, and unobtrusive. They listen well, have knowledge and experience with dementia, and a quiet way about them. Hours are flexible, but would initially involve daily visits from about noon until the early evening. We would like to develop a long-term relationship so as needs increase, we may ask for more hours and possibly eventual overnights. Caregiver would need their own car, provide transportation to appointments, be responsible for preparing 2 meals daily, and providing med reminders as well as walks, companionship, and help gardening.
