My dad needs companionship while his wife is at work. Her schedule varies a bit, but we are estimating needing 4-5 days a week for ~6 hours. Dad has dementia and can get disoriented especially when he is alone for too long. He is physically and medically healthy and mobile. He is very smart, highly educated and would love to feel useful as a teacher again - even if just once in a while to share his vast knowledge of math, history, engineering etc! He loves taking walks and short drives, spending time watching tv, eating healthy foods and is politically liberal (but it's also fine to just not discuss politics if you are not).
