About who needs care: The patient has ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and has limited mobility function.
About the care needs: 20-25 hours per week, bathing, toileting, feeding, dressing, light housework, transportation to appointments and other duties as needed. The caretaker must be his arms and legs and be able to handle the physical aspects of his care. The patient's wife works from home and can provide training. Looking for someone with a good sense of humor, kind, and patience is a must. Must be willing to learn the medical equipment that will be required.
Services needed include transportation, meal preparation, errands/shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing/dressing, and mobility assistance.
Hours may change depending on the patient's work schedule.
