About who needs care: My mom Janet is 81 and has rheumatoid arthritis since she was a teenager. She uses a 3 wheel buggy around the house. Her en suite bedroom has ADA adaptions. We would like her to have a shower a couple times a week and I will take over on the weekends. There will be occasional bathroom assistance needed. She likes watching tennis and game shows Playing cards/Yahtzee. She recently fell and has multiple fractures in her back and is currently in skilled nursing and we are hoping to bring her home in a couple weeks. She is working hard and improving. She lives with my husband and myself along with our adult son (33 years old). She moved in with us 4 1/2 years ago. We put in a residential elevator so she can have full use of the house. We are not comfortable with her being alone without a watchful eye and companionship until she gets stronger. About the care needs: Someone with a caring personality with a sense of humor. I can always do the showering if its a deal breaker for the right fit. However this person will need to assist with hygiene occasionally in the bathroom. If this person can also assist her with her exercises once a day to keep her moving in the right direction would be great. Simple ones. Shes 81 Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
