My husband and I are looking for someone who could spend an afternoon or two a week with my in-laws, primarily to get them out of their apartment! This could be taking them to the local park for a short walk, an art gallery to look at art, a museum, or just to the store for shopping, or the occasional doctor's appointment. Both are mobile - although my mother-in-law only goes for short walks (like a couple blocks) - and we have a push wheelchair if longer outdoor excursions are called for. In addition to hourly wage - we would pay expenses (mileage for transport, parking, museum entry - including for you!) Payment will be using Care. com's payroll processing so that we have workers taxes, worker's comp and all that other good stuff covered. (We all need to be protected!)
