Help needed for my mother in her 70s - seeking part-time companion care. The ideal match will meet the requirements below. Assistance with medication is needed. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping. We're looking for someone to provide companionship. We'll need you to handle groceries or errands when appropriate. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. Preferred person needs experience in the area of dementia. She is fully aware of her condition but refuses to take her medication, she is a daily drinker and can be very difficult to deal with. She gets angry very quickly and has expressed to myself and my brother that she does not want help or anyone in her home. Unfortunately after her last doctors appt it was highly recommended that we seek out some part time assistance for her.
