About who needs care: My mom recently had her second knee replacement surgery. She is struggling to bounce back from this one. She needs more help with some of the basics, like bathing, getting dressed, and some help getting up from a seated position. Ideally we would like someone to help her in the mornings and evenings. About the care needs: I think any care giver has to have patience and empathy. My mom is a bit of a hippie, and loves writing and reading mysteries. She appreciates no nonsense people and needs to be able to do as many things her way as possible. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
