I'm currently looking for a replacement for my dad's caregiver. My dad lives in Alamo, is 91, has moderate dementia, is hard of hearing, and uses a walker. He's can get dressed and go to the bathroom by himself but needs someone to prepare meals; do dishes, laundry, and other light housework; go grocery shopping; help him shower; and make sure he takes his pills and brushes his teeth after breakfast and dinner. I'd also like the caregiver to take him out once a week for a drive-through meal and/or trip to a dog park, and to occasional haircuts and nail-trims. He's introverted and quiet, and I'm hoping to find someone who's patient and attentive so that his needs will be met. He needs help for a few hours in the morning and the evening (hours somewhat flexible), seven days a week. I know I'll probably need multiple caregivers.
