About who needs care: My mother suffers with mental illness and requires medication several times a day. She is capable of most daily functions (showering, dressing, feeding herself). She loves art, swimming, and her little dog Benny! I am looking for someone to check in on her in the morning to assist with breakfast and making sure she has taken her morning meds, and then returning in the evening to make/help with dinner and making sure she has taken her night meds. Some light housework (mostly dishes) would be very helpful. Potentially some assistance in meal planning and weekly rides to the grocery store. About the care needs: Must love dogs! :-) Kindness and lots of patience are paramount! A basic understanding and acceptance of mental health conditions is needed. They need to be comfortable with medication packaging and ensuring that (multiple) medications are given correctly. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
