About who needs care: A 46-year-old gentleman with Traumatic Brain Injury and cognitive, behavioral, visual, and hearing impairment. He loves all kinds of music, especially metal music, and also enjoys movies, roller coasters, and going to the mall. An ideal day with a caregiver would be verbal and some physical assistance with getting ready for the day, completing chores, and going into the community, including appointments. About the care needs: Thick skin is a must, as he has no filter due to the nature of his injury. Ability to set boundaries, as he is continually learning social boundaries. Ability to lead by example of how to behave in social settings, as well as redirecting and continual reminders to stay on the task at hand. We are looking for someone who is focused, consistent, and thrives on a routine. The person must be not only physically but MENTALLY present at the job, and attentive to his needs. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
