About who needs care: I have chronic knee and back pain making standing and sitting for long periods of time, as well as cleaning and shopping difficult for me. As a result I spend most of the day in bed watching videos and playing videogames. I take meds that make me sleep late in the morning. So ideally my caregiver would come in the afternoon for two to three hours to clean, cook, do last and help me go shopping. About the care needs: I have autism and other health issues, so I need a calm person who can help me when the unexpected happens since I rely on routine to keep steady, so an understanding of autism is helpful. I am usually cheerful and like being around other cheerful, optimistic people. I need someone who is good at cooking and cleaning and is willing to let me teach them how I like my food cooked. I'm not nit picky, but I do need someone who is willing to learn. Also, my caregiver will be paid by a government agency and need to have a clean criminal record since they will be fingerprinted as a requirement for employment. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
