Most of my housekeeping experience comes from this: in my early childhood, I was the only one of my mother's three children who was willing to faithfully do the tedious and seemingly monotonous housekeeping duties. This included sweeping, mopping, doing the dishes, cleaning laundry, cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as taking out the trash. From that experience, I developed the skill and habit of doing all these tasks and more, including cleaning fridges and stoves. At first this responsibility was unwelcome to me because it in many ways prevented me from having a fun and "normal childhood" like the other children my age seemed to have. However, I now love housekeeping because I realize that it laid the foundation for me to be hardworking and thorough in any task that I put my hand and brain to accomplish. Therefore, whatever house I am called to keep, I determine to leave a "clean sweep"!
