I'm in Philadelphia. My sister Adrienne, who will be 85 in August, lives alone in her own house in Michigan City,IN.
I'm looking for someone who will check in with my sister, perhaps every week or two, just to see how she is doing. Kind of my "eyes and ears" when I can't really rely on her own descriptions of her situation. Also, the person we work with would be available for help occasionally. Recently, her refrigerator stopped working and needed to be replaced, she may need transportation when her (older) car has issues, that sort of thing. She has a friend that she relies on for these things now, but she is relying on this person more and more and I sense it is starting to become somewhat of a burden on the friend.
Adrienne does not use a smart phone, and she is not computer literate. She is a smart, warm, but shy person who seems to be taking care of her Activities of Daily Living, including driving, shopping, household duties, etc., but as she gets older she will need some outside help beyond what her friend can provide. She loves cats and dogs and presently has two cats.
