Gemma at New Parent Harmony has worked with me for both of my babies. Her knowledge about the postpartum experience & newborn stage is matched only by her experience. Having a baby is so overwhelming mentally, physically, and emotionally - Gemma works with you to better understand your postpartum self and your baby to set you up for success during those tough early weeks. Women do not get the support they need in the early days of motherhood (not by a long shot) - Gemma has helped me bridge that gap by helping me feel empowered and supported as a mother. While healing from my births she's made a point to remind me that I have to care for myself & prioritize my recovery in order to best support my family - a fact easily forgotten with a new baby! She guides us through evidence based approaches to caring for our babies, providing the resources and information we need to feel confident in the decisions we make. She is profesional, prompt, super accessible, and flexible with scheduling. I have both exclusively pumped & exclusively breastfeed, for both of those approaches to feeding she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Her energy is so calm, strong, and genuine - she is such an amazing person to have around in general, but even more so during this stage of motherhood! Beyond all of this, she does an wonderful job of helping keep our house in order while life is at its most chaotic: laundry/dishes/tidying/preparing meals/etc, addressing behavioral concerns with our oldest, making sure we are taking time for ourselves, and talking us through the way we approach parenting in general. Gemma is truly a partner in motherhood/parenthood - I cannot recommend her highly enough.
