Lindsay's Family Child Care

I chose Child Care as a career because of my love for children and have been licensed and in operation for over 20 years. I am licensed for 8 children, but prefer to keep the group small so that more individual attention can be provided. I have a small, cozy, clean home perfect for infants and toddlers.

Helping with the growth and development of children is extremely important. I studied Child Development in college, both physically and psychologically. Children grow and learn from exposure to nature. When going for walks in our nature area we talk about how acorns become the oak trees we see. We look for different kinds of rocks and have a scavenger hunt for specific rocks. We learn sorting and counting while outdoors.....everything becomes a learning experience.


Lunch and 2 nutritious snacks are provided. For infants naps are as needed, morning and afternoon. For toddlers, naps are in the afternoon.

My goals to be shared with all children are:
-learning consideration and respect for others
-to provide a safe and healthy environment
-encourage physical and emotional growth and development
-provide stimulating and age appropriate activities

I care for children as if they are a part of my family.
