About the business
I have been an early childhood educator for 40 years, both as a teacher and a director. For the past 28 years, I have operated a Family Daycare in my home. I offer care to six children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, Monday through Friday. I provide nutritious snacks and meals through the Department of Education's CACFP food program. I'm required to have a background check and clearances, CPR and First Aid training and 12 hours of additional training per year. I participate in Title XX which provides help to families to pay for child care. As a certified teacher, I offer a full preschool program featuring pre math and pre reading, science, music, art, cooking and small motor practice (scissor and pencil skills). Because of the small group, I can work individually with each child. We also leave lots of time for free play, both indoors and out. I can offer excellent references upon request.
