Seeking care for my loved one in her 90's.
Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, help staying physically active, mobility assistance. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training. Female caregiver preferred.
A little more about my loved one: she can be pleasant, reserved. She is quiet, reserved, funny, very sweet. She tends to need to be told what to do, when to do it and how. She has mild dementia. Not the angry or physical kind but daily confusion and forgetfulness. She likes to sit in her chair and watch her shows. I'm looking for someone who is patient, strong.
My ideal caregiver would be kind, very patient, confident, takes direction well, has common sense, has dementia experience, someone who's NOT a loud super chatty person. Someone quiet but stern. Someone who's reliable prompt and likes to come to work.
My lady is a home body. But when it's warm I like her to get out as much as possible. A walk around the block, picnic in back yard. Or to just sit on porch and watch the birds and neighbors. She usually prefers to sit in her favorite chair and walk tv. She does daily exercises that she needs help with. She needs help w the bathroom. She old, frail, arthritic, forgetful, hard of hearing and eye sight not great. She needs a companion.
