Bouncing Bunnies Family Daycare

40 Russells Way, Westford, MA

Costimate: $334/wk

At Bouncing Bunnies Family Daycare, we are dedicated to creating a happy and stimulating environment that offers love, acceptance, and a place where every child feels safe and secure. Here, the safety, needs, and happiness of all children is our top priority. With over fifteen years of experience in the family childcare and preschool settings, we strongly believe that play is the work of young children. It is with this philosophy that we have created our environment, placing an emphasis on learning through play and exploration.
Young minds are given the opportunity to grow and to create their own worlds through imaginary play, using all five senses to learn about everyday wonders. Our program is designed to allow children to socialize and interact with their young peers, while offering them the opportunity to play and explore in a variety of inventive, age-appropriate activities.
Additionally, we enjoy a seasonal curriculum that focuses on the highlights that each season offers. We engage in a hands-on, sensory experience through arts-and-crafts and interactive story time. When the weather permits us to do so, we spend the majority of our time outside. With ride-on toys, a swing set, and neighborhood walks, we allow for an exploration of nature, exercise of gross motor skills, and an outdoor experience that is always fun-filled.
My years as a mother and childcare provider have taught me innumerable lessons, such as the value of fostering creative thinking; the importance of outdoor play, musical enjoyment, and story time; as well as the power of independent reading, problem solving and self-help skills. I always discuss any concerns - physical or behavioral - with parents, and I view strong communication between families and myself with the highest regard. Although it's always sad to see the children grow up and move on from my home daycare to preschool or pre-K, parents can be confident that their children are prepared to thrive and succeed in a larger environment. Thank you for your interest in our program, and I look forward to working with you and seeing your little ones grow!

We enthusiastically recommend Bouncing Bunnies Family Daycare! Our children have been with Karen since they were very young, my son since 18 months and daughter since 4 months. It's really hard to find a good place you feel safe bringing your children to, that feels like family. Karen provides an environment of learning through play, which we find has helped our children develop and learn by doing. Karen takes good care to share both milestones and challenges and works with our kids to encourage independence and discovery. Karen sends home a day sheet documenting our children's activities, what they learned and did, any milestones, (whether or not they actually ate their lunch even!), and she always sends pictures of sweet moments during the day. Karen reinforces important skills like empathy, respect, resilience and problem solving as well as age appropriate skills like reading and writing. I could not be happier with Karen's services and would highly recommend her!

My son has been at TLE for just about 2 years now. He started @ 3 months old in the infant room. Being a first-time-Mom and leaving my baby in childcare was REALLY hard. But the staff @ TLE made my transition from maternity leave to working-Mom THAT much easier as they treated my son like their own. When he walks down the hall to his classroom at drop-off or pick-up - all of the staff knows him & will say hi to him. It truly makes my heart melt knowing how much he is loved and cared for when he's not in my own care. My son is now 2-years-old - he has since transitioned from the infant room - to the toddler room - and now to the Twaddler room. He is constantly learning new things each & every day... he continues to amaze me.. which, in turn, the school amazes me with how well they are teaching him. I am forever grateful for the amazing staff @ TLE. My second son will be starting in the infant room come May @ 2-3 months old, too. TLE Chelmsford is THE BEST daycare/school out there. I did my research & I will continue to choose this center every single time. I go out of my way for drop-off and pick-up... but the center & the comfort of knowing how well-cared for and LOVED my son is here makes the drive 1 million percent worth it!

We treat the children in our care with respect and strive to instill within each of them a love for themselves and others, as well as a love for learning. We provide each child with an environment that is safe, healthy and promotes learning.

We believe that children learn by doing. We operate a developmentally appropriate program that provides each child with many large group, small group and individual experiences to aid in their cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development.

We believe that the dedication of our teachers and their desire to provide a healthy environment allows our program to be successful. They are vital to our program and we provide them with all of the support they need to accomplish their mission.

We believe that parents are the primary teachers and role models for their children. We strive to partner with them and to offer them guidance, encouragement, and support in nurturing their children to become responsible adults.

We believe that we must all work together to teach our children how to behave appropriately. We guide the behavior of the children entrusted to us through positive methods such as modeling and helping them to learn the language necessary to express their feelings.
