KIDSWORLD CHILD CARE SERVICES mission is to provide exemplary child care by offering a program tailored to ensure high-quality daily experiences for each child.

We treat the children in our care with respect and strive to instill within each of them a love for themselves and others, as well as a love for learning. We provide each child with an environment that is safe, healthy and promotes learning.

We believe that children learn by doing. We operate a developmentally appropriate program that provides each child with many large group, small group and individual experiences to aid in their cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development.

We believe that the dedication of our teachers and their desire to provide a healthy environment allows our program to be successful. They are vital to our program and we provide them with all of the support they need to accomplish their mission.

We believe that parents are the primary teachers and role models for their children. We strive to partner with them and to offer them guidance, encouragement, and support in nurturing their children to become responsible adults.

We believe that we must all work together to teach our children how to behave appropriately. We guide the behavior of the children entrusted to us through positive methods such as modeling and helping them to learn the language necessary to express their feelings.

Our greatest hope for ourselves and the children in our care is that we will set the example for them to follow to allow them to reach their highest potential.

Does a regular daycare setting overwhelm your child?

Is your child easily distracted and not able to achieve the growth and development they deserve?

Looking for a smaller, more individualized environment?

About Us

PCAL Pals is a specialized daycare program where young children can be exposed to a social setting but receive more attention and expertise to assist in their growth before entering school. As a subset of the Center for Applied Learning, our program caters to children who may struggle in a typical daycare model. With specially trained staff and an intense social and emotional approach, your child s long-term well-being is our #1 priority. We focus on establishing prerequisite social skills, so your child is prepared for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

The Pals program is a relaxing and caring environment that is dedicated to offer individualized attention but also provide an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and experiences with peers.

How We Engage Children?
Recognizing the individual needs of each child (i.e. working on food and transitioning challenges, etc.)

Promoting social skills growth Teaching self-regulation and self-advocacy tools

Fostering each child s unique interests and strengths through group and individual activities

The Pals program focuses on the growth of the whole child through a play-based, creative, interactive programming. We promote this growth through a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment rooted in deep caring, and trusting relationships among staff, children, and families

PrideStar believes young children (ages 3-5) develop best through cooperative hands-on exploration and play, which is at the core of our program. Play develops qualities such as empathy, exibility, communication and capacity to collaborate which children need to lead happy, fulfillled lives. Cooperative play is a primary learning path at PCAL Pals. Our specialized environment provides ample opportunity for skill acquisition through play, to be applied to developing relationships. At this age, we believe that sitting and having a child count blocks doesn't compare to natural peer-supported activities and engagements. We want to capitalize on what engages children at this age so that they are excited for their future.

Taught A Lot Childcare

21 Geiger Drive, Tewksbury, MA

Starting at $60/day

I am Shirley Connolly, the owner and operator of Taught A Lot childcare in Tewksbury, MA. I offer a loving and safe environment for children from infants to 5 years. I have been caring for children for over 30 years.
I am licensed and certified by The Department of Early Education and Care. I am also a certified preschool teacher. I am also an educator for infants and toddlers. My assistant is also certified by EEC and has years of training and experience. We have been working together as a team for almost 10 years!!!
We provide a curriculum that is based on the individual needs of the children enrolled. We work with our preschoolers on social, emotional, physical and cognitive/intellectual needs daily. Some children need help with social skills, others need help with refining fine motor (Fingers for writing skills) development, others need practice with identifying letters and shapes, self help skills, etc. We find these strengths and weaknesses and build upon them.
We believe children learn best from open ended experiences. Children are free to explore all medias of craft materials. They find their own creativity with no right or wrong way.
Many, many of our past childcare children have been known to win art shows in elementary school from having such early art experiences while with us. We go way beyond coloring in pages!!!! We have many weekly themes to make learning fun!
Our infants and toddlers are engaged and stimulated through story books, music and movement, children's songs and interactions from adults and little friends in our program. They learn baby signs as it is proven to help them learn speech and language skills at an earlier age. It builds self esteem and helps them to communicate their needs with peers and adults. This is even before they can talk!
We are trained yearly in infant and child CPR & First Aid. We are members of a USDA food program and we serve Breakfast, lunch and snacks at no additional charge.
A daily midday email is sent out to all families about their child's daily activities. The hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mon-Fri.
We are a family business and value what we have to share with other families.
Give us a call to come out to visit our home based program!!!
Love is the Bridge from our home to yours!

I can honestly say my children are more advanced socially, physically and intellectually than children of my family and friends and I absolutely contribute it to Shirley and her program.
