Preschool Teacher/Nanny Open For Interviews!
I have a true commitment to children and their families, providing experience teaching multiple children ages 0-15 years. My philosophy is based on the latest scientific research, involving play-based learning. (Appreciation and inclusion of art, music, reading and nature aides in promoting healthy and natural child-development.) I am part of an Early Achievers rated program and Eco-Friendly Childcare and Preschool for infants through pre-kindergarten. Your child's safety is of the utmost importance, as I take proactive safety measures with training and certifications in Adult, Pediatric, and infant CPR, First Aid, and defibrillator training. Growing up in a certified "Eco-friendly" family home child care setting has blessed my life in more ways than I could ever imagine; instilling gifts of love, hospitality and caring for others. This has afforded me the ability to comprehend the importance of nurturing secure attachment bonds early on in development. With up to date STARS/MERIT Teacher Certifications in Child Development and UW Early Achievers Childcare Aware pilot rating system, caring for children is not only a passion of mine, but a way of life. With familiarity in Lifespan Psychology, child development theories/concepts, and milestone expectations, I fully engage each child in age-appropriate activities allowing for continuous stimulation of senses and appreciation for nature and exploration. Respecting all parents' wishes in regards to their parenting style preferences, I demonstrate the ability to work tactfully and respectfully with diverse varieties of people. Customer service and professionalism are enveloped within my unwavering, upbeat demeanor, as I communicate information accurately in a pleasant and effective manner, allowing for optimal success of shared goals. Developing healthy eating habits starts early! I value the importance of healthy and high quality food, and incorporate quality nutrition in each meal/snack. I strive to instill the value of a healthy diet by explaining to children the important positive impact the foods they eat provide for their bodies; on a simple level of course. I promote childcare outdoor activities including nature-focused learning throughout the year. For example, preschoolers find creative ways to use recycled materials for science and constructing art projects. They enjoy participating in adventurous activities, such as planting a tree and observing animals! Preschoolers learn and develop naturally at their own pace, every child is different. Academic activities include drawing, puzzles, hands-on sensory, recognition and matching of object shapes and colors. Exposure to a variety of toys, tools, and activities is a critical step in early introduction to math and science through free play and learning stations. I provide individualized tutoring. This one-on-one attention builds confidence, allowing children to learn at their own pace, naturally. Workbook pages are available for the children when interested. For older children this includes homework help, reading allowed with children, playing games, and taking time to foster their individual interests. Children learn and develop naturally at their own pace, as every child is different. I will incorporate academics into the children s routine on an age appropriate level through planned activities and free-play. Infants, preschoolers, and children of all ages enjoy story time and music circle. Introducing a variety of music expands and enriches their worlds. I invite participation in singing, playing instruments, and dancing. I welcome you and your family to experience my offerings at no cost. A personal interview is one of the best ways to observe and engage in a group/family dynamic. Contact me to schedule a time to for an interview/inquiry. I am also available via text/email.
