About who needs care: Mild short term memory issues, uses insulin, occasionally off balance and has some tremors, has occasional bouts of pancreatitis. Needs help in the late morning/early afternoon with meal prep, light housekeeping, intermittent animal care for 4-5 hours per day from Wednesday through Monday one week, then off 8 days, then repeat that schedule. Max 30 hours per 2 week pay period. About the care needs: Experience with veterans preferred. Friendly with dogs and cats. Willing to listen even if the story has been heard before. Patience is key. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.

His father and I work Tue mornings from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday we work the evening shift which is 1 to 9 sometimes 10. We only need him watched on these days. We are working on preparing kindergarten work before he goes into school. He's 5 and very shy but warms up when talked to a lot.

Both me and my husband will be having to go back to work after maternity leave and looking into potential options. I'm due around the end of February & live in highland lakes area. Currently we are living in my parents basement, so potentially there would be people in the house on and off while you would be here as they are retired. The hours may vary as I'm unsure what my schedule will be like when I go back to work, also my parents are willing to help out (however I don't want them to have the stress of being the primary caregiver) my parents do have a puppy in training to be a service dog. The dog would absolutely not be home if my parents are not home & you would never need to look after the dog, I just wanted you to be aware there is one in the house.

About who needs care: Dad has dementia. Dad is no longer mobile. We need someone caring and compassionate. We need someone comfortable using a Hoyer or is willing to be trained to use the Hoyer to move Dad from the bed to the Porta potty once to twice a day. We also use the Hoyer to move him from the bed to his wheelchair. We have premade meals ready for the caregiver to heat and cut up. He sometimes needs assistance with his eating. On occasion you may need to make oatmeal for his breakfast. HOSPICE comes in three days a week to sort his medications and give dad his baths. After he eats his breakfast the caregiver needs to crush up his medication After he eats his breakfast the caregiver needs to crush up his medications, mix it with applesauce and give it to him. A half hour before dad goes to bed his night pills need to be crushed and mixed with applesauce and given to him. Dad has a Dachshund, his little buddy. We put sandy in bed with Dad after Dad has eaten so he doesn't feed sandy his food. We usually have beautiful music playing downstairs. Dad does enjoy watching Star Trek. Hopefully whoever fills this position has a hobby such as needlepoint, crocheting, knitting etc. Dad doesn't require a whole lot of conversation although he does enjoy it at times. You will have a lot of extra time. We just want somebody who is caring and compassionate to be downstairs with him when we cannot. About the care needs: We need someone who is not uncomfortable putting Dad on the Porta potty using a Hoyer. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
