Our structured Dungeons & Dragons program offers students a safe, fun environment to dive into tabletop gaming. Led by experienced facilitators, our weekday afternoon sessions teach beginners the mechanics of the game while actively building essential skills like teamwork, basic math, reading comprehension, and creative problem-solving. We provide all the necessary materials and space for an imaginative, inclusive experience that keeps kids engaged and socializing after the school bell rings.

Broadway Stars was created by a professional performer turned child development specialist with the primary goal of helping children develop the foundational skills and technique every musical theater performer needs while giving them the opportunity to find their voice, build confidence, and do what every budding Broadway Star loves most: PERFORM! Classes are taught by a team of professional teaching artists with years of experience in the classroom and on professional stages and feature a customized curriculum designed to challenge and showcase the strengths of each young performer while helping prepare them to participate in our mainstage musical this Spring. Each week, your child will participate in acting games, choreography rehearsal, and vocal coachings as they learn scenes and songs from Broadway Musicals that they will perform onstage for family and friends at the end of the semester. Whether your child is destined for the lights of Broadway or simply loves to perform with their friends, this class will spark their creativity and give them the confidence to shine both onstage and off! *While participation in our Fall Semester is not required to enroll in our Spring Production classes, it is strongly encouraged. *Our Fall Finale will take place on a weeknight the week of December 14. Talk Trekkers” Intro to Public Speaking Series (NO Prerequisites) This fun, high-energy, and highly interactive public speaking series is perfect for young speakers of all experience levels! Whether your child is a beginner or already has some public speaking experience, this 5-session, 5-class-hour course provides individualized feedback and tailored challenges to help them grow while having a blast! Students will receive class materials, including a detailed class packet, to support their learning and practice. In each lively, engaging class, students will: LEARN - Learn and improve on the fundamentals of effective public speaking and explore different styles of speaking; - Learn to reduce and manage public speaking anxiety and nervousness; - Learn to implement DAILY positive public speaking and communication habits; - Learn to structure and improve their writing skills; - Understand the differences in various types of public speaking, such as persuasive, informative, storytelling, and conversational skills. DO - Practice their impromptu speech skills as well as prepared written assignments; - Present to the entire group and receive feedback from instructors and peers. IMPROVE - Each student will receive individualized feedback on their speaking to help them grow as confident and effective communicators. - If assignments are written, students will also receive individualized feedback on their writing to enhance clarity, structure, and impact. Puppet shows are back! Join us twice a month on Saturday mornings as we take kiddos on a story-time adventure with puppet pals small and large - Sneaky Pete, Mama Mavis, Chef Meowzers, Sadie Blue Boots, Grandfather Time, and an ever growing crew of puppet friends! We'll even get to introduce some of our original musicals (that debuted at Filoli this summer!) to the studio! There will also be theater and movement games, dancing, and singing. This family friendly tour features true crime stories, murders, dark history and hauntings. Behind the shiny, happy stories of Elvis, Johnny, and the music legends, lay some dark and unusual tales of the dark side of Memphis. Be sure to take lots of pictures along the way to see if you capture any paranormal activity of your own! We will walk less than a mile total with several stops along the way. We end by the Orpheum Theater and you can walk back with us or continue your evening on nearby Beale Street.
