William's Music Lessons (Piano, Vocal)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Dallas, TX
Years of Experience: Around 30 years experienc Location Options: In Home Genres: Rock, Blues, Country Age Groups: Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Keyboard and Piano Lessons,Vocal Lessons Overview: I was born in Dallas and grew up in different cities in Texas and Arizona. I’ve been singing and playing keyboards and harmonica in rock roll and blues bands since age 17. I spent a few years touring on the road where I worked with some amazing and talented people before I went to college where I studied art and music. I moved back to Dallas after graduation and have played in various rock and blues bands for many years. During the last decade, I have given lessons to people who wanted to advance their skills at keyboard and harmonica and singing without lots of drills and exercises. I don’t teach with sheet music. I try to give people the tools to learn songs by understanding their instrument and training their ear to understand what they’re hearing and how it translates to their instrument. I like to take on students who want to learn this technique. It’s a fun and hands on way to get right into the music if you’re a beginner, an aspiring performer or just want to improve on your instrument or improve your singing. I use only electronic keyboards and do not own a standard piano or organ. Over the years I’ve found it important to be as mobile as possible. Formal Education: Art, B.A. (Texas Tech 1980) Music, B.A. (Texas Tech 1980 Private Education: I have worked with some amazing and talented people over the last 30 years or so both performing and in the recording studio. I have learned more from them than I could any private tutor. Performing Experience: Irsquo;ve performed in Rock and Blues bands full and part time for over 30 years including a few years touring the U.S. Experience Teaching: I've been teaching for about ten years. It started when people seeing me perform would ask me to give them a few pointers. They liked my teaching style and it just grew from there from mainly word of mouth. -Reviews- Name: Date: 2016-02-13 15:35:25 Title: Review from Graham D. Jackie's Music Lessons (Vocal)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Dallas, TX
Years of Experience: 32 Location Options: In Home Travel Radius: 15 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Country, RB Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Vocal Lessons Overview: Jackie first knew she had a gift at the age of ten, although she was five when she held her first microphone. Growing up as an only child, Jackie spent much her time listening to music mimicking and singing along to great entertainers such as the Temptations, Gladys’s Knight The Pips, Earth, Wind Fire, Muddy Waters, and B.B. King. As a teenager, Jackie discovered a completely new and different world of music. During her teenage years, new sounds began to hit the airwaves like Rap, Heavy Metal, Rock, Rock and Roll, and Country (when it was country). Jackie was not the typical black teenager who limited herself to just one genre. She had to feel it all. She knew her root stemmed from RB, Blues Soul, but new sounds where around. Jackie received inspiration from Gun’s Rose’s, James Taylor, Karen Carpenter, Jimmi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and anything that caught her attention. That was back in the day when the music was real. The instruments were all played live and were paired with good old-fashion stage entertainment, when singer really sang. Those where the good ole days. Jackie has been a part of the music through different generations. She has had the honor of singing on the same stage with some of music’s great names such Cookie McGee, Big Foot Johnson, Blue Lisa, Blind Sam (RIP), Buddy Miles, Chuck Rainey the list could go on with different sounds and genres that she has experienced in music. Jackiehas quite a singing background. She has performed with one of the biggest names in music …Barry Manilow. She has participated and sang in sold out events all over the country including venues like The Starplex, Scotts Centers, Academy of Arts and Letters, Majestic Theaters, Convention Centers. Through experience, Jackie has develop her own mixed and versatile ways of expressing music, bringing to light her unique interpretation of music. Jackie says she cannot put her music in a certain category or genre. She can only go where the music takes her. She just wants her music legacy to be a good, wholesome, and long lasting image and one day to be considered in the same class as her past time favorites. Jackie wants her music and her voice to continue to warm hearts twenty years from now. She wants to be like Miss Tina Turner, Gladys’s Knight, Michael Jackson (RIP), Prince, Luther Vandross (RIP), Queen Aretha, James Brown (RIP), Isaac Hayes (RIP) Freddy Mercury (RIP), and John Lennon (RIP) who are all pioneers and prime examples of what good music is all about. Performing Experience: Performed extensively locally for many, many years, including with TRMC founder Taylor Robinson. Experience Teaching:

Heather's Music Lessons (Piano, Vocal)
by Taylor Robinson Music
Princeton, TX
Years of Experience: 13 Location Options: In Studio, In Webcam Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult, Under 6 Years Instruments Taught: Keyboard and Piano Lessons,Vocal Lessons Overview: Hi, My name is Heather and I am a Piano Voice Teacher in McKinney, Texas. I teach out of my home studio and I can also come to you. I have been a student of music since I was 8 years old (that was a looooong time ago) and I have been teaching for almost 13 years now. I love to teach a classical foundation and it's significance as we explore other genres of music. Of course, I love to play the greats like Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven and more, but I also like play other genres like New Age piano like Yiruma and my own original pieces. I also love to play worship music from chords charts such as Hillsong United, Kari Jobe, Chris Tomlin, Bethel Music, etc. I also like to play Broadway, Show Tunes and Movie music like Moana, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Les Miserable, The Sound of Music, etc. I also enjoy composing music and also listening to music from a movie and then sitting down at the piano and figuring it out-I've done that with music from the movie Moana and The Man From Snowy River and others. I've also done that with artists like Britt Nicole, Tori Kelly and others. My singing experience began when I was in 3rd grade when I joined he Glee program at my elementary school. I continued singing through college where I auditioned for the Applied Music Program for Voice and Piano and was accepted. At my first college, I helped form a volunteer Vocal Ensemble group of 8-12 a capella singers. We were very dedicated and performed locally (in Southern California where I lived). That group received acclaim from our college and was henceforth offered as a class for credit (still to this day). During that same time period, I auditioned for the 2nd season of American Idol. Even though I did not make it to the "show", it was a good experience. I also sang the National Anthem for many of my colleges sporting events (Basketball, Baseball, Football, etc.). Since then, I have taught voice privately to students and I have also taught children's and adult choirs. My teaching style is unique and fun. I focus on learning styles and how each student best learns and then I tailor the lessons to meet the needs of the student. Your lessons will have structure, but I also allow freedom for you, as the student, to develop your love for learning and playing the piano and singing. I like to tell my students “The slower you practice, the faster you learn." My favorite thing about teaching is YOU and watching you grow and mature into a budding musician. My students love that I am patient and try to figure them out. I teach students of all ages both boys and girls. My youngest student was 3 years old (singer) and my oldest student was 77 years old (piano student)!! I DO mean ALL ages!! Thanks for taking a look at my profile. I look forward to working with you and helping you develop your love of music through playing piano and singing. ~ Blessings! Formal Education: 4 years of Applied Music Program education. Private Education: I took 3 years of private piano lessons as a child. Since college, I have attended workshops and Master Classes as well. Performing Experience: I played in many recitals as a child and as an adult (both as a student and a teacher). I also performed almost every Sunday on worship team at my church for the past 6 years Experience Teaching: I have been teaching for almost 13 years, since I was in college. I teach beginning/intermediate/early advanced piano, music theory and beginning voice. -Education- Degree: Music - Voice Piano School: Modesto Junior College Dates: 2006-08 Degree: Music - Voice School: Moorpark College Dates: 1999-08

by Taylor Robinson Music
Longview, TX
Years of Experience: 8 Location Options: In Home, In Webcam Travel Radius: 300-450 Genres: Rock, Jazz, Classical, Acoustic Age Groups: Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons,Vocal Lessons,Song Writing Lessons Overview: Music is an absolute passion of mine, and it has been since I was 12 years old. I discovered that I had a very well toned voice so I started singing and everyone has told me that I was born to express my voice and also help others discover their own original voice as well. About a year later I got an acoustic guitar, and was attached to it everyday. I taught myself how to play guitar by ear and soon after I learned how to self tune, I learned my chords and how to read music. I sing and play and harmonize and also write my own music. As of now I am learning piano, I am a beginner at it but know my notes and how to read sheet music. I don't have a preferred style of music I sing, because when I do it's different and original. Lastly, I've gave several vocal and guitar lessons to many individuals, and have had positive feedback. I'd love to help others achieve the level of excellence they desire. Private Education: I take classes online to learn more about music so I can continue to advance and teach others who also want to succeed in the music industry. Performing Experience: I am not nervous or shy performing for others, because I am confident in what I do. I have performed at coffee shops, music stores, and many events. I perform to the best of my abilities. Experience Teaching: As I mentioned briefly above, I have had positive experiences teaching, and I love to help others to feel confident in themselves. If it were possible I would teach everyday or whenever needed.

He began his piano studies at age 8. Beginning in high school, he received lessons from a master teacher, who inspired Timothy not only with his ability to convey the technical side of playing the piano, but also with his understanding of what it takes to develop the musicality of a student. After high school, Timothy furthered his education at Foundations Bible College, where his voice teachers and choir directors also provided an excellent balance of technical skill and musicianship. In addition to all of the standard music courses such as music history and music theory, Timothy also took a number of classes in general education, and in piano and choral pedagogy specifically. These pedagogy courses helped prepare him to adapt to the unique needs of each individual student. Timothy is happy to teach both piano and voice to students at the beginner through intermediate or pre-college levels. He has worked with a wide variety of students, from a three year old girl to a gentleman in his sixties. He has experience teaching special needs students, including those on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and one piano student who is blind. With all of these students, they have made tremendous progress together. Every student has unique needs and goals regarding his or her musical education, so Timothy is careful to customize his lesson plans to best fit each individual student in order to help them achieve their goals. He happily adapts his methodology to fit the student, and always makes sure to balance the need for order and discipline with freedom of musical expression. teacher, who inspired Timothy not only with his ability to convey the technical side of playing the piano, but also with his understanding of what it takes to develop the musicality of a student. Angel's Music Lessons (Guitar, Piano, Production, Song Writing, Vocal)

Years of Experience: 10+ Location Options: In Studio Travel Radius: 20 Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Acoustic, Christian Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons,Keyboard and Piano Lessons,Vocal Lessons,Song Writing Lessons,Record Engineer Produce Overview: From an early age I've always had an interest in music, some of my most vivd childhood memories are of me listening to classical sounds being played through my grandmother's stereo system. Beethoven was the most prolific sound that came out of those speakers for me. Grandma would think it was funny when I would wave my arms rhythmically in the air, imagining myself conducting a grand orchestra. Growing up in the 90's, music was already so vast but was still changing. Grunge was in full effect with Nirvana and Soundgarden while not too much later Hip-Hop and RB'esque sounds began to take over Pop mainstream with Tupac and Britney Spears. It was only natural that by 11 years old, I wanted to be a Rock Star. After 2 years of begging 2 uncertain parents, on a Christmas eve in 2004 I got my first electric guitar. From then on I started playing and gigging in bands, grinding my nose against the scene learning hands on about how to be a musician. It was also during this time that I began working in local music shops as a hired hand. I learned how instruments themselves worked and also gained knowledge about Recording and Production equipment. Live Sound, brand names and quality history were at my fingertips. Towards the end of those 10 years, I was working as an assistant manager at Guitar Center. As a musician, I noticed something about my playing that would be every artist's worst nightmare. It all sounded the same. So I sought out help from Lyle Harrison, a guitar teacher who worked at the store and he began to tutor me in theory. Ever since then my perception of understanding music has changed. Knowing how it works and making it malleable enough to create is key to great song writing. My goal is to get you to be able to create music for yourself and the world to enjoy. Bring happiness to those around you through musical artistic expression that's genuine and true to yourself, no matter what the sound. Private Education: Lyle Harrison - Private Theory Tutor Performing Experience: Over 10 years of playing in bands, running live sound, stand ins in both large and small venues Experience Teaching: I taught off and on throughout my tenure working at local Mom and Pop music shops when the actual instructors were not in. Lessons lasted about 30 minutes to an hour
