Learn how to use the favored medium of the old masters and contemporary artists - Oils. There is nothing like the luster of oil paints. In the studio we we water-mixable oils which provide the same finish as traditional oils, without the need for harsh chemical thinners or linseed oil. Students will learn how to prepare the canvas, how to mix paints and different brush strokes as they complete their own oil work of art!

Campers will learn how to make armatures to support your structures using armature wire and foil. Sculptures will be built using polymer clay, paper mache and Pal Tiya (A sculpting material that hardens like stone and can be sued for outdoor sculptures).

Beautiful sunsets, tropical animals, exotic fruits, tropical flowers and sun-drenched beaches.

Paint your pets or favorite animals. We will also draw and paint rain forest creatures, coral reef life, African and Asian animals, make clay animal sculptures and animal mosaics.

Basic and advanced drawing techniques. Linear perspective, understanding value, shading, blending and erasing. Subject matter: Still life, portraiture, architecture and animals. Mediums: Graphite pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, pastels and markers.

Campers will learn basic hand and sewing machine skills. Machine skills: Threading the machine, how to wind the bobbin, how to adjust the tension and basic stitches. Projects: Pillow case, a tote bag and pajama pants. All fabric, sewing machines and notions will be provided.
