About who needs care: Multiple health issues, will need caregiver to ensure medications are given, assist with mobility (rolling walker) forsafety and meal preparation and the TV remote control. Mild dementia.
We have one small yorkie mix and 2 larger golden /retrievers so we will need a dog lover.
Mom likes the shows about building and restoring homes, she loves her yard and her treasured azaleas, irises and roses. She likes to paint and draw and is very good at both... except when her rheumatoid arthritis flares. She enjoys cooking and baking and loves the beach. Loves Jesus and her morning devotional. We pray before every meal so we would prefer a Christian person.
Mom's ideal day would involve a breakfast that includes fresh fruit orange juice and coffee possibly a pancake or a waffle and some sausage links. Time in her yard transplanting 'babies' from the mommy azaleas and pruning some of her many flowers or weeding her flower beds. She loves to sit on one of our porches with her little dog in her lap watching birds or reading magazines.
About the care needs: Person must be easy going but pays attention to detail and must love dogs. Specialized skills would need to include gluten free cooking and dementia experience. Hobbies and interests should include gardening, the beach, and Jesus.
