Senior Helpers provides professional, compassionate, and affordable care to seniors that live throughout the Acadiana Area. In doing this, it enables our senior clients to live independently in the comfort of their own home.

We are the local experts in Alzheimer and dementia care. Our caregivers receive extensive training on the proper techniques for providing quality and appropriate care to families with loved ones suffering from dementia. Our Senior Gems dementia program is unique and powerful and is about creating a positive environment that focuses on what your loved one can do, not what they can't do.

We're also very proud of the work we do with our veterans. We work closely with the veteran and their family in determining eligibility for the VA Aid & Attendance Benefit, a little-known VA program that can assist veterans and/or surviving spouses with in-home care. Be sure to call us to learn more about what your senior veteran (and/or family) may be eligible for.

Other key support services include assistance with meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, assistance with transportation, medication reminders, and assistance with personal care such as bathing/showering, walking, dressing/grooming, and transfers.

Our scheduling program is very flexible and customized to meet your needs. We can assist for as little as one (1) hour a day up to 24 hours a day.
