My name is Missy Wilson and I have worked in the child care field over the past 13 years. I have been caring for children out of my home for the past 4 years. I studied at FVTC in Appleton where I earned a degree in Child Care and Development. I also took additional undergrad classes at UW-Oshkosh. I recently completed the Administrator's Credential for early childhood and training in the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards as well. I have three sons ages 9 months, 6 and 10 that are also a part of the child care. I grew up in the Appleton area and we have been here in Zittau for 3 years now. My youngest school age son, Carter, is 6 and attends 1st grade at Winneconne Elementary. My oldest son, Tristan, attends 5th grade at Winneconne Elementary. Our brand new addition, Ryker is part of our daycare family.
Building Dreams is a state licensed facility serving children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. We have been state licensed since January 28, 2011. We are also part of the Child and Food (CACFP), so we serve nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. We were rewarded a grant for a new Wellness Program through the DPI and the CACFP, the program has been running since early 2012 and we have developed a new Health and Wellness policy from it.
We are also part of a new initiative, called Young Star, through the state licensing agency. The program is used to rate on going above and beyond the minimum.
We have been rated with three stars which is a great accomplishment for us, with room to grow!
