About Mckenzie

My name is McKenzie M. I am a current "Special Education Teacher" with a philosophy of centering learning around joy, rigor, and critical thinking. First and foremost, my job as a teacher/tutor is to facilitate confidence and happiness for every learner. Concerning experience, I have significant experience working with students with ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, students on the Autism Spectrum, etc. Aside from teaching, I hold certifications as a Registered Behavior Therapist and a Registered MindSet De-Escalation Trainer. I graduated with my Bachelors in Human Development from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins. I genuinely love my job and would love to build your learner to be the most confident version of themselves!
