About Mattie

Hi! My name is Mattie and I am originally from VA but have been living in Charleston for 3 yrs. I have babysat for over 11 yrs but have been a nanny and personal assistant for the past 4 years. I was also a preschool teacher for 2 yrs and loved it! The majority of my experience is with kids 6 mos to 10 yrs old. In previous roles, I have driven children to school and activities, travelled with families, set up play dates, cooked meals, and most importantly played, taught and interacted with children at an age appropriate level. I have also assisted families with grocery shopping, laundry, house cleaning, and organizing. I personally believe that getting outside is so important for child development so I try to take kids to parks, beaches, etc as much as possible. I also love encouraging learning through arts and craft projects, games, reading, and play. I truly believe it takes a village to raise children and I'm excited about the opportunity to potentially join your family's village!
