About Julia

I earned an EMT-B in 2001 from Flint Hills Technical College while simultaneously attending Emporia State University as a non-traditional student. Later, in 2009 I gained my Certified Nurses Aid, Certified Medication Aide while working full time at a senior care center and a rehabilitation center. I've put furthering my own formal education temporarily on hold for now to concentrate on my child's graduation next year. Working as a caregiver has been a great fit for my personality and schedule. While working in two full time nursing and rehabilitation facilities I gained invaluable insight and experience for my future educational goals. My last employer provided services individuals and families with a variety of needs. I have had the pleasure of caring for the elderly, developmentally and/or physically challenged as well as made lifelong friends in the process. I look forward to the opportunity to continue in this field.
