I taught elementary school for more than a decade, including Spanish Bilingual Kinder and 1st - all subjects in self-contained classrooms; other primary grades and Reading Specialist, also. I've taught and tutored (classroom and individually) ESL for children through adults. US Citizenship Test Preparation: combining ESL and US History/Civics [First B. A.,: U. S. History]. I have participated in extensive training in Reading: Development, Fluency, Comprehension, etc. My tutoring style is very interactive and based on a student's strengths and interests. I have professional and personal experience with Special Needs, including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and developmental disabilities. Carole was once a housemate in a household of young professionals. I remember her then caring about the follow through of taking vegetable crapes from the drain and getting the job done by putting them in the compost. Now I know her as being very detail oriented but best of all very focused on the needs of the individual and being thoughtful to meet people where they are and go from there. She is able to utilize many tools to get from point A to Point B.
