About Alaina

I choose to work with children because they remind me of the simple joyful moments and help me to embrace my silly side. I do my best to build a relationship that emphasizes connection, teaching and exploration, rather than punishment. I have over three years of experience nannying for a variety of families with children as young as 3 months old and am happy to provide references. I have a masters degree in Social Work, have studied child development and have child care experience including teaching social emotional skills in schools, providing children's therapy as an intern, and working at an after school program. When I am not nannying, I am working on building a private practice as a therapist and enjoying long walks with my best friend, Benny (the goldendoodle).
