About Taryn

I am a certified FL teacher in Elementary Education K-6, and Reading K-12. I have taught in Florida for 5 years, working with pre-k through graduating seniors. Though reading and writing are my specialty, I often work with students on elementary math and science as well. In my teaching career, I work with students with disabilities as well as non-English speakers. I have received ratings from the state department of education for effective and highly effective teaching. I would be delighted to work with your students and move them not only toward success, but toward an intrinsic love of learning. I like tutoring because it allows me the opportunity to work with small groups of students to target their individual needs while capitalizing on their unique interests and motivators. In my spare time, I like to read novels, draw, swim and adventure with friends. I am also a trained vocalist and perform in the community.
