Looking for companion care for our parents (mother 72, father 84). Job requires meal preparation, light housekeeping (dishes, sweeping, laundry) and medication management. Duties will include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.) Mom is recovering from open heart surgery and will need assistance with household duties through next 2-3 months. My father has some medical issues (asthma, heart disease) and is unable to manage the responsibilities of running the household without assistance. As their daughters we envision someone cheerful and experienced, who can help fix home-cooked meals, do an occasional load of laundry and drive them to doctors appointments while we are at work/out of town.
Seeking live-in home care 4 days/week, Fri-Mon, for my mother aged 88. She is a hospice patient who is visited weekly by hospice nurses and bathing assistants. She can stand but is mostly confined to a wheelchair. She has COPD and wears oxygen 24 hour day. She has dementia (sometimes confused, often lucid).
Seeking someone to prepare healthy meals, help her dress, stand, go to the toilet, provide companionship and comfort, shop for groceries on occasion, and do light housekeeping. Most important is that she live her remaining days with dignity and comfort. Medication management (giving her pills) is required. Separate private room and bathroom, and board in comfortable home provided along with monthly pay. I prefer caregivers who want full time room and board with 3 duty-free days and nights each week.
