Our school year curriculum for ages 4.5 to 7 includes a mix of works on paper and sculptures that offer a variety of media and opportunities to develop the student's understanding of basic concepts and terminology used in fine art making. This program does not require students to have prior art-making experience. In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

Outdoor field games in local area parks, weather permitting. We spend the first and last hour of the day inside doing arts and crafts, STEM projects, and indoor sports such bowling and ping pong. The rest of the morning and afternoon we are outdoors doing field games and traditional camp activities utilizing local area parks. We are open rain or shine, during inclement weather and poor air quality days we spend more time inside doing crafts, indoor sports and other activities. Hot lunch and healthy snacks are included. There is a sibling discount of 20% for each child beyond the first.

Using blocks, boxes, and lots of imagination, our junior engineers will solve fun puzzles and build amazing creations. Get ready to stack, snap, and create as we build the future together! It builds on foundational techniques while offering more opportunities for independent decision-making. Prior completion of Fine Art Fundamentals isn’t required, but familiarity with basic art concepts is recommended. All students new to Expanded Fundamentals will receive a notification to sign up for a one-time, prerequisite Online Form Class, which must be completed by the third week. This class teaches students about form, values and composition. If your child has already completed this class as part of Fine Art Fundamentals, they do not need to take it again.
