CAMP DETAILS -July 21-25 -ages 5-6 -9am-Noon (bring snack & water bottle) -Theme: Wizard of Oz -Friday performance at 11am -Location: Chapelwood UMC (11140 Greenbay St. Houston, TX 77024) ABOUT THE CAMP: -Campers take daily dance, singing, and acting class -Campers audition and rehearse a musical theater show throughout the week -Daily craft time and games -Every student gets the opportunity to have a singing solo and acting line in the show! -Performance on Friday for family and friends  -Students with and without disabilities welcomed! NOTE ABOUT INCLUSION/TEACHER AIDS: Students should participate independently for most of the camp activities. Volunteers and teachers will be present to assist when needed! We’ll explore the flavors of Latin America, Asia, African Diaspora and Europe and learn professional chef approaches to blending ideas and making dishes our own. You’ll prepare a snack and complete lunch each day and conclude the week with your own take on Houston Fusion.

Preschool Prep is a toddler's first step to preschool! This class lets parents and children play together, explore, and practice all the skills they'll need for their school days ahead. Practice a gentle separation time during class, where teachers lead children in a short social time without their parents. Preschool Prep with HOMER is a NEW Academic Class for Ages 2-3! Children will learn early literacy, math, independence, and social skills. This is an early learning program designed for children ages 2 through 6. Preschool Prep is a transitional class for 2- to 3-year-olds that uses children's interests to help build both knowledge and foundational skills. Another special element of this program is its easy extension from classroom to home, as we provide at-home parent tips and HOMER app suggestions to encourage learning outside of class time.

Be inspired together and make colorful memories in the Gymboree Art Studio. Sculpt with a giant block of clay, design a family tree, paint a mural or make a creation of your very own. Art classes are suitable for children ages 18 months - 5 years.

Drop in for some extra fun! You and your enrolled child(ren) can enjoy additional opportunities to explore the Play equipment and socialize with friends at the location your child(ren) are members of. We welcome all children, at all levels of development! Come explore our playscapes, for some unguided play time. Spend quality time with them doing what they love to do, and mostly run out some energy!

It’s all about opposites! Loud and quiet, fast and slow, up and down! Contrasting ‘themes’ means your child is learning better ways to communicate. Explore the different equipment pieces each week to support building problem solving, navigating skills, and confidence.

This is a fun & exciting 3-hour “independent" Camp program developed for 3-5 year old children. This program is designed by utilizing LEGO Education unit lesson plan “My XL World”. Lesson Plans focus on specific Common Core learning goals as well as 21st Century Skills learning goals. Structured learning goals focus strongly on community building, social skills, and STEAM education.

Give your little one a safe space to practice their new-found skills! Explore diverse physical movements like climbing, crawling, and balancing to support healthy muscle and bone development, while also practicing social skills and memory building through sing-alongs and group play.
