Wacky Walks in Houston is a royal themed scavenger hunt done using an app on your phone! During the game you will hunt for items around the city to gain points. Another way to earn points is by completing wacky challenges. There will be a King or Queen amongst your group in which you will compete for throughout the course of the game. The objective of Wacky Walks is to gain as many points as you can and hold on to your King/Queen title for as long as possible. Wacky Walks is not timed, so you can take as long as you'd like to complete it and can do it in any area of the city you choose. A typical tour of San Jacinto State Park includes transportation, parking, the San Jacinto Monument, museum, movie, observation deck, driving by refineries, petro-chemical plants, and cargo containers docks, the historic Crown Hill Cemetery, the Capture Site of Santa Anna, the Sidney Sherman Bridge, Washburn Tunnel, and the Lynchburg Ferry. Lunch is at the Monument Inn Restaurant with a terrific view overlooking the Houston Ship Channel. It goes through Houston, Pasadena, Galena Park, La Porte, Lynchburg, and sometimes Deer Park. If you like, we will stop at the original site of Houston's founding and the port of Houston from 1836 to 1914, Allen's Landing.

This tour only has 1 stop: Space Center Houston (SCH). SCH is connected to NASA or the Johnson Space Center (JSC), where the astronauts train and the engineers work. We will walk over 5,000 steps at SCH as I plan on showing as much as possible in the main building and in the additional buildings, Rocket Park and the Astronauts Training Facility, where the trams take tourists. I will talk a lot about the space program, tying the past to the present, and future explorations.

This tour will cover much of the island, its history, and historic sites. I will play a 45-minute documentary giving you an good introduction as we drive to Galveston on our drip-down movie screens. This is a mostly driving tour that also incorporates about 1 hour to walk and shop along the historic Strand Street. We will have other stops for photo taking. Galveston was the largest city in Texas in 1870 and 1880 and was the wealthiest city as well until the 1900 Great Storm. The Great Storm was a monster hurricane that killed at least 6,000 people on September 8th. More people died in this Galveston hurricane than ALL other hurricanes that have hit the mainland US in history. On the return trip, we can show you the documentary Isaac's Storm from the History Channel. This will be fun-filled, entertaining and educational tour of a once great city that is still a fun place to vacation.
