Think Smart Outreach Center, Inc is a nonprofit youth organization located in Erwin, NC. The program is open to all students regardless of race, sex, religious preference, soci-economic level, etc. Our program is a NC State license Kinder Prep (ages 2 to 5) and before/ after school program (ages 5-12). Our Kinder Prep Program is our Early Learning Program and it assist students to be ready for Kindergarten. The program provides educational and social curriculum's, the students learn French and Spanish, we implement daily devotionals, students learn their alphabets, their numbers, shapes, colors, days of the week, months of the year, and so much more. We also provide recreational activities and activities for students to use their imagination.
The after school program focuses on the student's academic and social needs. We provide homework assistance, tutoring, arts/craft, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and Kids Cafe (program funded by North Carolina Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina) to provide a hot full course meal for students at the end of our after school program. Our after school staff works in collaboration with the student's day time teacher in which we conduct school visits to see how we can help the students during the after school program.
Our program offers holiday celebrations, family involvement activities, computers in all classroom with Internet and transportation is provided in certain areas in the county.
Chief Executive Director is a Level II Child Care Administrator (highest level is Level III and Chief Executive Director is one course away from Level III and will enroll in that course Spring 2013)
