I just lost my mother over the weekend. and she went through the most horrible transition. No one should have to go through that! The nurse did not give fentanyl patch for pain relief so she was in pain. did not bring liquid lorazepam, said it cost 3oo dollars. It does not cost them anything so to throw that in my face was BS!. Then I asked for atropine for secretions. the nurse tells me no. so I had to sit there and listen to my mom drown in her own fluids. Never have I seen such inadequate care for patients that need the most care in this crucial time.
