Giddens School

Founded in 1972 as the first progressive early childhood program in Seattle, Giddens School provides exceptional early learning experiences that emphasize the importance of learning through play. This means that we provide our children with opportunitiesto explore, observe, question, and construct knowledge from the world around them. Our teachers work alongside our children to learn more about what interests them and to help create rich, authentic learning experiences.  At Giddens, we also believe the best learning happens in a diverse, inclusive, and caring environment. Our extraordinary school helps children discover themselves and inspires them to become the best they can be. Our early learning center serves children aged 3-5 across three blended classrooms, each of which is staffed with two teachers. Additionally, our children participate in specialist programs (Art, Music, PE, Spanish language, and Library), each taught by our team of talented instructors. Our state-of-the-art campus and facility provide clean, bright, modern classroom designs, and multiple playgrounds, including a roof deck field and an indoor gymnasium. Our fully cost-included extended care program provides our families with flexibility, allowing for an early start time of 7:45 am and a late pickup by 5:30 pm.
