I came to this company with very high hopes of finally being somewhere honest. I took a pay cut but was okay with it because I love the people I care for as a PCA.
I can not speak for the overall company however the location in Cramerton NC is a horrible experience. I could write forever about the problems but in short the turn over rate is unbelievable. I worked there 1.5 months and in 2 weeks we lost 7 employees not including to figures of management. They work you the hours weren't so much the issue as opposed to the schedule constantly being posted but then revised last minute more than once. The residents all complain that rent is being raised and they cant afford to continue living there. There are MANY empty rooms in the AL side, and the Garden Place side is at capacity. Considering they claim to be an ASSISTED living more residents live on the Memory care unit and are heavily total care needs. They move PCAs up to med techs through the company which is great except they do so often before they even pass their testing making it a chain reaction of a total disaster of people not sure how to do job duties. If you don't come into the rescheduled hours they tell you you'll be fired. They only pay PCAs $8 hr so for people who need to make more and get more hours than they will give its impossible to work two jobs because they try to force you to come in or stay over past your shifts. They try to force people with kids and BABIES at home to stay and work a 3rd shift and if you wont they fire you! BUT they dont want to pay for full time benefits so they work you right under or from what Ive heard wont pay the right amounts for overtime. The food has been served raw to residents. The maintences fixes are constantly broken. Heat wont work on freezing nights. Phones go out and families are never notified left to stress why they cant reach loved ones. Management laughs at your complaints, and at the fact they have bugs. Corporate has been notified and I hope to hear they do something about the MANY complaints filed. They will tell you you are approved for time off and then schedule you during that time. I threatened to quit if they didn't honor it and then laughed at and told "Whats another person to quit Ive already lost 5 people this week..." They don't care.About anyone but themselves. Not the residents or the employees. Sorry not sorry. Don't apply here. They desperately need new Management and corporate NEEDS to come get ahold of the facility before they loose all employees and residents. Its bad when the residents tell other potential clients to run and not come stay there that there facility was a waste of her money earned. Which happened very recently. If this review offends you its probably because your part of the evil going on.
I quit over many reasons above and did so in a calm manner though calling them out for these things, and was literally forced off the premises because they were scared I would tell others about these things I was saying as they didn't want others to know (as if they weren't already aware)
The residents were amazing. Thats the saddest part. They dont deserve to suffer due to these negligences.
