Sitter By Day, Teacher At Heart

Avg response < 6 hrs
I'm an optimistic, compassionate sitter experienced with all ages of kids (newborn to early high school-aged). I'm a habitually organized person with a knack for adaptability, so you can count on me to make sure your kids are safe and secure while having fun. I'm a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and starting fall 2020 I start studying to get my MPH at CUNY School of Public Health I love engaging with the innate curiosity of kids and find joy in seeing them think critically about the world around them. With my experience as a journalist and former 6th grade history teacher, I'm more than happy to help with anything school and learning related. I love music, the arts, and reading, and would love to share those interests with your children. I'm also able to help with any other tasks around the house -- cooking, cleaning, laundry, running errands, etc. Just say the word, and I'll do everything I can for you and your family!

Hannah worked with our family for 2.5 months. During that time she was punctual, quick to learn, respectful, and kind with our newborn. She helped with feedings, tummy time, play time, naps, plus more. We saw her bond with and truly care for our baby while she worked with us. We can not recommend her highly enough, you would be lucky to have her. She is extremely trustworthy, hardworking, and passionate about what she does. The only reason we will no longer be working together is because our family will likely be leaving NYC. We will miss her very much.

Energetic And Fun! I Enjoy Leading The Kids In Creative & Constructive Activities.

Avg response < 10 hrs
Hi, my name is Julia and I am a college student here in Manhattan, I attend FIT as a Fashion Design Major. I have experience watching kids of all ages from 6-month-olds - young teens. I enjoy guiding kids in baking and interactive crafts as a productive activity! I am a great help with homework and can monitor remote learning, but once school is done provide the kids with plenty of screen free entertainment. I can make healthy balanced meals, and also help with household chores during down time and while the kids are asleep. I am able to provide a safe, stable and fun environment for your kids while you are out. My school is completely remote, I do however go on campus into a sewing lab occasionally where I follow all CDC guidelines. I always wear my mask and comply with my schools bi-weekly COVID testing. If you would prefer me to wear a mask around you children I am happy to do so. I will work with whatever is most comfortable for you.

I have used Julia multiple times to babysit my toddler daughter. Her enthusiasm made my daughter feel comfortable immediately. Julia came to the house each time with age appropriate activities that entertained my daughter, and that she loved doing. Julia is professional, dependable, and punctual. My daughter still talks about Julia, and I will continue to use her whenever she is available. I would highly recommend her and assure you that she would be an asset to any family.

Understanding And Communicative Babysitter/nanny

Avg response < 6 hrs
Hi there! I'd love to help out. My name is Sarah, and I'm currently in grad school at NYU. I came into college as an early childhood education major, only later switching to psychology so that I could better understand child development. I have spent multiple, consecutive summers helping out in several childcare centers - mostly in the infant and young toddler ("waddler") rooms. When spending the summers in Colorado, I nannied for a mother with three children under 3 years old. To me, there is nothing more valuable than watching and learning as an infant evolves into a babbling and toddling human.

Sarah is our favorite babysitter! Sarah started working for us when my daughter had just turned 1-year-old. She is dependable, punctual and super nice! Sarah always comes right in and starts playing with my daughter. She is a master of distraction, so I can easily slip out with out tears or drama from my daughter. She takes my daughter to music class and the playground. I feel totally uncomfortable having Sarah take my daughter out and about. We also use Sarah for date nights. We leave around 5pm and Sarah feeds my daughter and does my whole crazy bedtime routine (bath, music, stories, etc.). Sarah is just a wonderful babysitter and person! I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon her and would highly recommend her to any parent!
