Compassionate, Open Communicator, Collaborative Nanny

Full Time
Brooklyn family needs a full-time nanny. Must love kids! Our ideal match will meet the requirements below. Schedule Details: We are two families looking to hire a nanny for a share for approximately 35 hrs per week (Monday to Thursday, 8 hours per day), beginning in August (flexible start date), . The vast majority of the time will be spent caring for H, who will be six months, and H, who will be seven months, but the caregiver will also need to pick-up H big brother, H (five), from after school two days a week. We have some flexibility on the schedule, but it must include 3pm to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. About the child(ren): We seek somebody with experience caring for multiple children at once, or an eagerness to learn. Our ideal care giver would also have a love for the outdoors, and feel motivated to take H and H, to play outside in all weather. As the kids grow, they would work with us to identify new activities and excursions to take advantage of all Brooklyn has to offer, such as the children's museum, the zoo, botanic gardens and the many classes and sing along. Our two families live in north park slope, away from each other and we will work with the caregiver to arrange an orderly and sane schedule of pick ups and drop offs. In terms of salary, we can offer 18$ per hour for one child, 26$ per hour for both kids, and 30$ per hour for all three kids. We can also provide two weeks of paid vacation a year, in addition to the week between Christmas and New Years, and most major holidays. We value kindness and fun, and hope to find someone who enjoys children-quirks and all-to partner with us in raising our kids. H and H mother, Liza, works in education, and their father, Simon, is a clinical psychologist. H mother, Sophia (English), is pursuing her PhD, and his father, Bart (Dutch), works in international law. We believe in open communication and collaboration in finding what works best for everyone (kids, parents and caregiver). We also believe that children do best when there is a clear structure, when they are listened to, and when the adults in their lives are on the same page. We are fairly strict about safety, being good to others and keeping our children away from TV and phone screens, but flexible with pretty much everything else. H, was blessed to have a wonderful nanny as part of a share with another family, and we would now love to find a special person to be
