LPN/Caregiver, CPR Certified Looking For Part/Full-Time Work In A Home Based Setting.
I have been working in the nursing field since 2002. I started in private duty straight out of high school. I then took classes and became a SRNA at a nursing home, but went back to the home care working for OLBH home health. During that time, I went to college and graduated top of my nursing class as an LPN. I started my nursing career at KDMC working Internal Medicine. But my heart wasn't happy and found my way back to geriatric care in the nursing home. Starting out on the floor as a cart nurse and working my way up the ladder to management. I was the unit manager and eve shift nursing supervisor. I took educational classes at this time and became certified in wound management. I evaluated and created treatment plans for all wounds on my unit. I loved my job and was not only able to assist and help the patients but staff as well as teaching, encouraging and keeping a positive work environment. At this time, my mother-in-law became terminally ill and I left work to care for her. It was during that time I felt my true passion and knew in my heart that home care was where I belonged. I have taken care of several clients in there home, young and old with many different diagnosis and reasons for needing a caregiver. I give 110% on the job, I believe it's in the home that the client feels there best and I am able to give and make the biggest difference not only to the client but for the family also. I take care of the client assisting or doing all ADLS (bathing, dressing, feeding/meal prep, range of motion/physical therapy). I also encourage the client to move about the home, go outside or shopping, my goal is to make them feel as if they are able to do and go as they always have. I encourage/assist with activities in the home to help keep there mind active. Not only do I take care of the client, I also clean, do laundry, med reminders, vitals, and take care of shopping/ errands. If you need me to do something not stated above I'm sure it can be taken care of no request is to big or small. I feel my goal as your caregiver is to take care of any and all needs the client and family may have.
I have a active LPN license with no disciplinary action against it and CPR certified. I am drug free and have a clear background check.
I also have letters of recommendation from prior client/family. References both friend and professional. Proof of license, certifications, and continued education that I have taken since graduation. That can be provided with interview or upon request.
I have an open schedule and can work any shift or days that is needed of me. I'm dependable, honest, kindhearted, and goal driven. I feel that it's my duty to provide the best possible care your family member could receive, doing it all from home where they are able to relax and enjoy life the most!
